LASU Vice-Chancellor to Deliver Valedictory Lecture and Launch Book

Lagos State University (LASU) is set to hold a valedictory lecture and book launch in honour of its Vice-Chancellor, Distinguished Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, as she concludes her five-year tenure as Vice-Chancellor of the institution.

The event is scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at the Buba Marwa Auditorium, LASU Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.

Professor Olatunji-Bello will deliver a valedictory lecture titled:

“From Vision to Legacy: Leadership, Institutional Transformation and the Making of a Globally Competitive Lagos State University.”

The lecture will highlight her leadership journey and the transformation of the university during her five-year tenure.

Book Launch

The event will also feature the launch of a book titled “Fortitude: An Insider’s Account of the Emergence of Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello as LASU’s Ninth Vice-Chancellor and the Events that Shaped Her Administration.”

The book provides an insider’s account of her emergence as LASU’s ninth Vice-Chancellor and the key events that shaped her administration.
